Dear Carmencita: Vintage Market & Nail Art
One thing remains relevant throughout history: the timeless fashion of a little black dress, sometimes seen on John Singer Sargent’s most daring sitters. Tonight, we draw inspiration from the delicate, bold, and intricate fashion seen in Sargent’s work with vintage clothing and modern nail art.
7-10pm – Vintage Mini-Market
Local, vintage retailers – krispyfringe | vintage, Silver Moon, Knee Deep Vintage – set up shop for a mini-market, featuring little black dresses, standout pieces, and other timeless accessories.
9:30-11:30pm – Nail Art with Astrowifey
Complimentary | First come, first served
Party nails inspired by the works of John Singer Sargent – need we say more? Chicago-based manicurist, Astrowifey, brings her original designs to Dear Carmencita, translating colors and techniques featured in the exhibition onto your nail of choice.
Dear Carmencita will open for regular service at 5pm.
