Welcome to Slimetown
Aleia Murawski and Sam Copeland are artists who create miniature sets that are often populated by their pet snails. Their dreamlike and playful imagery evoke the melodrama of daily life: a snail moving out of an apartment with one last box to move; two snails sharing their first kiss over a taco; and in this series created for the Chicago Athletic Association hotel, a snail trailing through a small-town carnival alone at night.
