Pitchfork In Sight Out: Courtney Barnett

Chicago Athletic Association hotel was pleased to host Pitchfork’s In Sight Out conversation with Courtney Barnett. Listen to the interview with the Australian singer-songwriter around her performance at 2018’s Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago.

Few speak truth to mundanity quite like Courtney Barnett. Her work, including her 2015 debut LP Sometimes I Sit and Think, and Sometimes I Just Sit and this year’s Tell Me How You Really Feel, chronicles a series of ordinary moments made wondrous. Often employing a deadpan delivery, Barnett brings out the quiet sincerity of her subjects. (She also has a terrific, winking sense of humor.)

This conversation between Pitchfork Senior Editor Stacey Anderson and Barnett was recorded ahead of Barnett’s performance at 2018’s Pitchfork Music Festival.

The hotel has it’s own conversational podcast series perserving history in the making. You can listen on this site, or visit us on iTunes.
