Dear Carmencita: Curator Talk & Makeovers
Grab a drink and get into the mindset of Sargent, and his sitters, with these back-to-back programs.
6-7pm – Curator Talk with Annelise Madsen
We welcome “John Singer Sargent and Chicago’s Gilded Age” exhibition curator, Annelise Madsen, to lead a light lecture highlighting Chicago’s lens on Sargent, and Sargent’s lens on Chicago. Don’t miss this intimate opportunity to learn more from the curator herself.
7:30-9:30pm – Sit For Yourself(ie)
Complimentary | First come, first served
What did elegance in the 1890’s feel like? Allow us to show you. Professional makeup artist, Kristina Feyerherm, and hair stylist, Xotchilt Alcantar, doll up attendees as if one of Sargent’s sitters. Then let photographer Rose Kaz capture your natural poise, or preferred pose.
