Dog Walk and “Yappy Hour”

Join us for a feel-good evening of barks and beers to support our friends at One Tail at Time. We’ve teamed up with Percent Pledge to host this downtown dog walk, followed by a “yappy hour” in the Game Room.

5:30 p.m. Dog Walk — Meet outside of the hotel (12 S. Michigan Ave) for a 30- to 40-minute leisurely stroll around the neighborhood, led by One Tail at a Time and a few of their adoptable dogs and alums. Have a 4-legged friend at home? Grab a leash, and bring them along! Don’t have a dog but still enjoy walking alongside them? You’re invited, too!

6:15PM “Yappy Hour” — Afterwards, head to Game Room back at the hotel where we’ve reserved the Bocce Court for a dog-friendly “yappy hour.” While the pups mingle, get to know our partners at Percent Pledge who make it easy for both individuals and companies to habitually support amazing organizations like One Tail at a Time. Water bowls provided complimentary, human food and drinks available for purchase — including a $10 beer, shot and burger special (available until the extended time of 7pm, just for you!)

Studies prove that hanging with dogs causes both human and canine brains to produce oxytocin, releasing mutual feelings of relaxation, trust, and empathy while also reducing stress and anxiety (as if we needed any more convincing to attend). So come for the dogs, stay for the cause, and take the first steps towards making giving a habit!
