It’s summertime in Chicago, and in our next Field Trip, join us for a taste of the season with our friends at Green City Market. Spend the morning with a private breakfast at Cindy’s, followed by a tour of the market itself (with samples, of course), and time to explore more of the market and surrounding Lincoln Park neighborhood. This event is rain or shine and open to all, including families. This Field Trip includes:

Private Breakfast at Cindy’s: Did you know Cindy’s restaurant atop the hotel is currently the market’s most frequent shopper? Meet in Cindy’s at 7AM – before doors open to the public – for family-style breakfast featuring market-fresh ingredients, and get to know Executive Chef Christian Ragano and members of the culinary team behind the meal.

Green City Market Tour: After breakfast, join us for a a trip up to Green City Market in Lincoln Park, through a ride service organized by the hotel. On arrival, meet Taylor Choy, the Green City Market’s Programming Coordinator for a rundown on what makes this market stand out in Chicago.

On the tour, visit with longtime market purveyors who will share their story, including Peter Klein of Seedling Fruit, and talk more about the extreme flooding his farm has been experiencing, related to our changing climate.

Independent Exploration: After the tour, keep tasting and exploring your way through Chicago’s largest outdoor market. We’ll leave you equipped with a schedule of market activities, including Edible Gardens, Kids Booths, and Chef Demos, for you to enjoy on your own time.
