Suitable for all levels, the class focuses on foundational skills like stopping and gaining speed and safe falling techniques. Myesha McCaskill (currently known as SmoothGoddess) has developed her love of skating and fitness through hard work and dedication for the last 30 years. While displaying her gift and talents in the original Chicago JB Skate Style, roller dance and freestyle skating, Myesha went onto feature in two seasons of THE CHI, the documentary UNITED SKATES, and the Disney film SATURDAYS. Myesha was a co-author of the book Evolution of Skating Vol. 1, which became #1 best seller on Amazon.

Myesha has been written up in the Chicago Tribune and Chicago Magazine. In 2023, Chicago Magazine named her the Best Roller-Skating Guru of Chicago. Myesha has also made guest appearances on WGN 9 News, Good Morning America news, Fox32 news and the Black Women Expo! She has earned numerous national awards for competing in different national skate events across the country, and is currently sponsored by Riedell Roller and Adidas Original.

Myesha’s motivation and drive to push the Chicago’s and the world skate culture forward through fitness was stemmed from years of adversity to learn, understand, and perfect the Chicago JB Style, roller dance and freestyle skating. Myesha is INSPIRED to share her knowledge with the world!
