Holiday Trumpets + Tree Lighting
The city’s first official Christmas tree was lit on Christmas Eve in 1913, as heralding trumpets sang from the former Chicago Athletic Association’s balcony. 105 years later, we’re bringing back this special tradition.
Join us Friday, November 16th from 5-8 p.m. as musicians from Royal Trumpet Works share the spirit of the season – trumpeters will play over the park from the terrace at Cindy’s, and throughout the Chicago Athletic Association hotel.
The city’s official 105th Annual Christmas Tree Lighting will commence at 6 p.m. November 16 in Millennium Park at Randolph and Michigan Avenue. Visit us at Cindy’s for sweeping views of the park, or enjoy the festivities at street-level!
