Holy Schlitz! A Brief Beer History & Game Night
Chicago Athletic Association hotel sells the most Schlitz out of any establishment in Chicago. Why, you ask? Because it tastes great, we all know that. What many may not know to such degree, is the rich history behind the beloved beer.
We’re teaming up with Liz Garibay, Beer Historian & Chicago Brewseum Founder, and John Eastberg, Pabst Mansion Executive Director & Historian, to tell the Schlitz story. The duo will delve into its history, impact on culture in Chicago and beyond, and its presence in the Chicago Brewseum’s exhibition, “Brewing Up Chicago,” at the Field Museum.
Following this history lesson, stick around and school your friends at one of our classic game stations designed for leisurely play – with a beer in hand, of course.
Ticket Includes:
– 1 Schlitz Tallboy upon arrival
– Raffle entry to win the hotel’s Brewcation package stay – a collaboration with the Chicago Brewseum
– Access to games
This conversation is part of the Beer History + Culture Project, a two-year national collaboration dedicated to highlighting, preserving, and celebrating beer history and culture and building national support for the Chicago Brewseum.
