LUYAPALOOZA: Poetry Showcase & Art Fair

Luya Poetry is turning 5 and you’re invited to their birthday party.

Join us for a showcase of some of the most talented poets and performers in Chicago, and a community fair featuring some amazing artists, makers, political organizations and more! All set to the sounds of their resident DJ Napp, Luya’s very own Cancer Daddy.

Location Details
The event will take place on the 4th floor of the Chicago Athletic Association, in the Stagg Court.

COVID Protocols
The event is indoors, in a ventilated room, and though the venue does not require masks, we ask that attendees wear masks when not actively eating or drinking.

Refreshments
There will be a bar in the space where alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages can be purchased.

Accessibility
The Chicago Athletic Association has an accessible entrance, and elevators. The entrance to the Stagg Court is also accessible, and has bathrooms that are only accessible to event attendees. There will be chairs, attendees may choose to sit or stand during the show.

Luya Poetry is poetry for community, solidarity, and reclaiming cultures & histories that centers voices of people of color.
