Screening + Q&A with NRDC: Sonic Sea
This Earth Month, we’re honored to team up with the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) to bring you an evening of film and conversation, surrounding the impact of industrial and military ocean noise on whales and marine life.
Dive into the topic with a screening of Emmy Award-winning documentary Sonic Sea, followed by a Q&A with NRDC Deputy Chief Program Officer Andrew Wetzler. Feeling inspired? Put the “act” in activism by signing a petition after the screening guided by NRDC representatives. Plus, enjoy specialty beverages crafted by our friends at Land and Sea Dept. available for purchase throughout the event.
This event is free with RSVP. Suggested $5 door donation, with all proceeds benefiting the NRDC directly.
Throughout 2019, the Chicago Athletic Association hotel and NRDC will collaborate on events paired with action, bringing to light those issues affecting our earth and providing attendees the tools to make a positive impact. Stay tuned for our Food Sustainability and Honey Bee Pollination events, taking place this Summer and Fall.
