Storytelling Series: Celebrating Female Figures in Hospitality this Women’s History Month

In honor of Women’s History Month in March, the Chicago Athletic Association hotel invites Chicago to raise a glass to and partake in a conversation about the powerhouse female figures in Chicago hospitality today as part of the hotel’s ongoing Storytelling Series. This complimentary panel celebrates the impactful, strong-willed, and game-changing women shaping the hospitality scene in Chicago.
 
Held in The Tank on the ground floor within the formerly men’s-only Chicago Athletic Association club, this inclusive gathering of women in hospitality carriers on the spirit of women who have long been changing the game in Chicago. The panel will be moderated by Chicago Woman Editorial and Brand Strategy Director Jennifer Smith Tapp, as she guides guests through a thoughtful conversation with:

·         Alpana Singh, Restauranteur & Master Sommelier (The Boarding House, Seven Lions, Terra & Vine)

This Storytelling Series takes place from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m Admission to the event is complimentary with registration. Additionally, a portion of all proceeds Monday, March 27 from Cindy’s Rooftop will be donated to Deborah’s Place, Chicago’s largest provider of supportive housing for single women experiencing homelessness, opening doors to housing, healing, and hope.


About the Storytelling Series:
The Chicago Athletic Association hotel’s Storytelling Series shares compelling stories and interviews from interesting and inspiring movers, shakers and visitors. From artists to musicians, innovators, adventurers and visionaries with a great story to tell – the series gives an inside look into the experiences, moments and memories that have shaped the speakers, their work and their lives. The hotel is known for its rich history, and while the walls can’t talk, the Storytelling Series continues the tradition of welcoming the world’s finest talent into its halls to make lasting memories. Only now, we’ll record and share those moments so worth remembering. The ongoing series includes about one hour of storytelling, followed by a brief Q + A. Space is limited and seating is first come, first served.
